Our program on November 10 was titled “The Pilgrim expansion to King Philips War”. We learned the difference between a Pilgrim and a Puritan (Most of us never knew there was a difference). We also learned about the Mayflower Compact and life in Plymouth Colony. With Foxwoods Casino (owned by the Mashantucket Pequots) and the Eastern Pequot reservation both “in our back yard”, the Pequot Wars were of significant interest to us. Sue does a great job on these programs. Why not come out and join us some evening. We still meet at 8:00. And if that big ol’ bear found wandering less than a mile from our hall will just wander someplace else next time we’ll tell you all about delicious December.
