By Irene Percoski

  NOVEMBER 2, 2023 --

Nov. 3: Bread, The Food of Life; Ref. Cherie. Members bring 3 non- perishable food items please

Dec. 1: Peace; Ref. Irene

Jan. 5 or 12: Short program on Zoom Four members attended the meeting at Coventry Grange and we captured Pattie the Platypus. Our Lecturer Cherie presented the program on Witches. Coventry will present their program for us when they visit in May. All the items for the ditty bags have been collected and will be assembled at our meeting in November. These will be given to the Vernon police Dept. to distribute to those in need. Items included personal toiletries, socks, toothpaste and brushes and some miscellaneous items. For Community Service, Vernon Grange has committed to the Promotion of the National Grange in the distribution of materials for the Affordable Connectivity program. Not all members were enthusiastic and much discussion was held. But we will forge ahead. We also will be writing 50 cards for veterans and have discussed Word for Thirds and 110 small ornaments for the local nursing homes. In November we have grocery Bingo. Each member will bring 3 items, 2 of which will go to the local food bank and the 3rd item will be used as a bingo prize. This is usually a fun meeting and we encourage all to try to come in person.
