| SEPTEMBER 2009 -- Thank you to the Junior Grangers who brought their entries to Celebration Day at Goodwill Grange. The winners will be announced at State Session during the Junior report on Saturday.
The Junior Committee served a luncheon at noon on Celebration Day. We were able to realize $192 to put toward the Helmet Project. Sadly, that is far short of our goal to purchase the helmets.
I would like to ask Granges and Grangers to donate to our project. Since we no longer have the Pie Booth at the fair, our funds have been cut sharply. If anyone would like to donate to our project, please send donations to the State Office earmarked for the Junior Helmet Project. Thank you so much.
I received quite a few entries for the Writing Contest and for the Drawing Contest. These will be sent on to National Grange and judged there. They will all be in competition at National and will be displayed at National Session.
The winners for the competitions at Celebration Day will be announced at State Session in October. Check with the Blue Book for the rest of the contests for State Session. I hope everyone is having a good summer.
Thank you also to the Junior Deputies who were able to assist during the luncheon. I think everything went well even though it was a hot one. |
