Hello everyone. My name is Cindy Legg, from Beacon Valley Grange. I am the new director of CWA/Family Activities Committee. My committee includes Anne-Marie Knochenhauer of Groton Grange, Claudia Sopstyle, Enfield Grange, and Pat Tarca of Cawasa Grange
Our theme this year is “The Circus” the Needlework Contest is the same, the baking contest is “Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting”. (Recipe to follow in a future article.).
MAKE A CLOWN CONTEST – 2018
Create any object with a Clown theme, using any material. Judging will be on workmanship and creativity. This contest is for Connecticut only and will not go on the Northeast Judging. Clowns will be returned.
CRAFT CONTEST 2018
The craft Contest is “The Circus” You may make any item, medium than has any thing to do with something at the circus. Judging at the State level only. There are 2 categories: Needlework and Other medium
The will be Adult and Youth classes in each category.
Craft entries are not returned to exhibitors. They are saved by he Committee to be given away as they choose.
Next year for the Big-E it’s Connecticut’s turn to donate a Quilt for the quilt raffle. If you know of anyone who is willing to make or donate a quilt please let me know. I believe they will be paid for the materials that are used, but I need to find out more information.
