JULY / AUGUST 2008 -- Good grief. One day we can’t get warm enough and the next we can’t get cool enough. On a very warm Grange Sunday at Goodwill Grange Hall we enjoyed a very nice church service by Worthy Chaplain Amy Whitcomb followed by a delicious lasagna luncheon put on by the State Youth Committee.
We had the runoff for the “Big E” contest for the Juniors. The contest was to make something for Valentine’s Day. In the 7 and under age group the winner was Hanna Contino of N. Stonington Community Junior and in the 11-14 age group the winner was Julia Cullers also of N. Stonington Community Junior. Congratulations!!
We were also very proud to have Katrina Sabastian of Ekonk Community Junior entered in both the Talent and the Junior Talent. She did a wonderful rendition of “I Don’t Know How To Love Him” from Jesus Christ Superstar and “Amazing Grace.” Fantastic job Kristina!!!! I hope you enter again next year. Thanks to all.
Remember “Celebrate Day” on July 26. The State Junior Committee will be providing the luncheon. Remember, SMILE AT THE FACE IN THE MIRROR. IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!!
