| August 5, 2017 -- Greetings! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I have always liked living in this part of the country because of the four seasons that we have.
Each one brings its’ own type of beauty.
While you are lounging around enjoying that summer breeze why not think of others…
Why not write a letter to a soldier. Bring him a little information from home. Be cheerful. Tell him or her how grateful you are to them for defending our country. Tell them about your family. Let them know that people here in the States appreciate them. Need an address? You can find one on your computer or let me know and I will get one for you. From what I’m hearing moral overseas is at a low point. Let them know that Grange members care.
Finished writing the letters? Are you a typical Granger? We hear tell that all Grangers love to eat. Grange dinners, whether paid dinners to raise money or our friendly pot luck meals are always well attended. What is your favorite food? Pancakes, warm chocolate chip cookies, mashed potatoes and gravy or something else? Why not enter the Essay Contest and tell us all about it. The title should be “My Favorite Food”. Entries should be 150 words or less and have to be to me by October 1st.
