| APRIL 12, 2012 -- The Northeast Region (CT, RI, NH, MA, VT, ME, NY) will be hosting the 147th National Grange Convention at the Radisson Hotel, in Manchester, New Hampshire on November 12-16, 2013.
Instead of the decorated Christmas trees, we will be having mitten, hat and scarf trees. Donations of knitted or crocheted mittens, hats and scarves will be given to various charities within the states of the Northeast Region after the convention.
Also Connecticut will be hosting the hospitality room on Saturday, November 16th. Saturday is a very busy day at the Convention with the Seventh Degree conferral as well as the exemplification of the Sixth Degree and the evening banquet. Volunteers will be needed to man the room so expect to hear more about this as we get closer to the 2013 National Convention.
We still have a supply of tee shirts and sweatshirts that we are selling to help defray the costs associated with hosting the convention. The colors, types and prices are: burgundy polo shirts with the Grange logo on the upper right front, $25; sandstone crewneck sweatshirts with the convention logo on the front, $22; forest green zip front sweatshirts with the convention logo on the back, $28; and brick tee shirts with the convention logo on the front, $14.
