APRIL 9, 2025 -- Wallingford Grange has had some fun events throughout this past month. First, Josh Miller, of Miller Tree Farm located in Durham, CT, completed an engaging presentation on Maple Sugaring as part of our Community Education program for the year. It was wonderful to learn the steps in the maple syrup making process from finding a maple tree, tapping a maple tree for sap, and turning the sap into maple syrup.
Second, we had a wonderful night learning about Sourdough at the Wallingford Grange with Amanda McQuiad. We even had tasty samples of chocolate and jalapeno sourdough breads! It was a full house!
At our monthly Grange meeting, our lecture program highlighted historical, famous women of Wallingford including Mrs. G. Frederick Hall, one of the founding members of Wallingford Grange. Our lecturer program at our April Grange meeting on Thursday, April 10, at 6:30pm, we will celebrate the coming of spring with a seed and plant swap. We will also have our monthly country store raffle at each meeting. All are welcome to attend.
