March 7: Barkhamsted Seniors luncheon featuring soup & sandwiches ($5); 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Bingo
following lunch. Later that date will be Riverton Grange #159’s monthly in-person meeting. The charter will be draped in memory of Past President Peter Keefe. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 PM, and the meeting will begin promptly at 7PM.
March 12: Special St. Patrick’s Day lunch at Crystal Peak with the Barkhamsted Seniors ($10); contact Dave Roberts for reservations at 860- 469-5067.

Barkhamsted Forks Senior Club (aka Barkhamsted Seniors) continues to rent our hall and is now hosting a public lunch for just $5 every Friday at Noon. For Valentine’s Day, a special lunch featuring shepherd’s pie was held, and we had attendees from four area Granges in attendance.
Twice a month, bingo is offered to all attendees. Seeing our hall open and full of people again is so great. Many attendees tell us stories about the “glory days” of Riverton Grange. We have begun Phase 1 of our Kitchen Renovation Project (planning, design, pricing) and raised close to $10,000 to provide a new kitchen. Once our plans are finalized and our permits secured, we will begin the fundraising phase of this project in earnest. We so appreciate the $1,000 grant from the CT State Grange Foundation.
