Around The Grange
Oct News from Senexet Grange No. 40

By Diane Miller

  OCTOBER 20, 2024 --

Oct. 23: Halloween

Another busy quarter for our Grange. Regular meetings held with plans being worked on. Starting in October the town Recreation Committee has asked us to host Coffee Hours for seniors. We will open the Grange hall on Mondays and Fridays from 9-11AM. We will offer activity suggestions for the groups.  These may include hands on workshops, board games and discussions by invited presenters. There are many activities being put on by the town and we want to be part of them. Our pollinator garden is doing well and attracts wildlife as well as visitors. We are working on getting approval from the historical district to replace our front door. Also to get the emergency exit stairs installed.

We are grateful to have groups interested in using our hall including the Yoga group and especially the line dancing that is very popular. We have been asked to take over the Annual Boot Drive to benefit the local community support group TEEG. The tentative date is Nov. 2, probably at the local radio station parking lot.

We had a very informative exhibit at the annual Woodstock Fair that included projects we do, products we grow and the symbols of the Grange. We have had an exhibit at the fair for many decades. Promoting what the Grange does is so important to our future.

As always we welcome members and guests to help us in many ways.
