It is with deep sadness to report that Alton Exley, a 74 year member, husband to Marie Exley and grandfather to Shelley Cameron, CT State Grange Membership Director passed away in July.
It has been a busy few months for Ekonk Community Grange. We have held our dinners in the summer months feeding 150+ at each dinner. We had a rather successful Grange Fair this year as we celebrated our 40th Fair. Lots of vendors, local fire departments, and a whole lot of fun. We had our food booth at Brooklyn Fair in August feeding hungry fair goers hot dogs, chili dogs, coney dogs, crab salad rolls, homemade corn chowder, and some of the best local corn on the cob around! September we were asked to provide a very hearty breakfast and a delicious lunch at Celebrating Agriculture held at the Brooklyn Fairgrounds. October is our wind down and finish the last preparations for our final events of the year before we hibernate for the winter. November is our Turkey supper to get you ready for Thanksgiving and December is our Holiday Bazaar. Watch our Facebook for all events and meeting info. Come and see us on the hill anytime!
