April News from Taghhannuck Grange No. 100

By Barbara Prindle

  APRIL 10, 2023 --

Apr. 13: Spring Cleaning at 6PM Ref: Janet Nickson

May 11: Produce to the People Ref. Kathy Hayden

June 3 : PLANT & RUMMAGE SALE 9AM-2PM

June 8: Hiking Trails Ref. Jill Drew. Refreshments/social time begins at 7PM with meeting at 7:30 unless otherwise noted.

Our March Square/Contra dance was enjoyed by all. Despite the miserable weather we had a good turn out and great donated refreshments. We will be having another dance on May 6 from 7PM to 9PM. Why not carpool after the Mountain Laurel Pomona 5th degree meeting or on your own and join us for an enjoyable and healthy time. Call Debbie with any questions at (845) 418-9755.

At our March meeting we decided to have a Foodless Food Drive using Jean Lundeen’s poem. We donated to the Connecticut Farmland Trust. I want to thank Debra Tyler for the wonderful program “Blocks”. Debra hand carved stamps of all shapes and sizes, we dipped them in paint and printed the front of blank greeting cards that she had cut from heavy paper stock.

The inside of our Grange Hall is scheduled to be painted as I am writing this. We have been looking forward to this for a long time. The outside of the Hall will be painted as warmer weather arrives. It has been a long time since the tree fell on the roof but we are almost done.
