Around The Grange
March News from Lyme Grange No. 147

By Lois Evankow

  MARCH 2, 2023 --

Meetings on Apr. 6, May 4, June 1

Our February meeting was held at the home of Nancy & Skip Beebe who graciously invited us to meet there as the Grange’s furnace has decided to give up the ghost and refuse to run. We just spent a considerable amount of money on repairs.

The Hamburg Fair last August netted us a wonderful profit! Now all the bills are paid and the books are balanced. It’s the first time in many, many years we have seen a profit. We did break even that’s more than many fairs can report. It’s discouraging to work hard and not see a profit.

This week has been the coldest so far this year. But then again, it’s February in New England, what more can you expect? So it’s 50˚ one week and 14˚ the next.
