| December 11, 2019 -- Big news this month: Junior President, Brianna Gervais, won National Junior Grange Female Ambassador at National Grange in Minnesota! She and her Mother, Junior Leader, Rebecca Gervais, had a fantastic time at the convention, met people from all over the nation AND Brianna had her first ever ride in an airplane at age 11! By the time that you read this, we will have had a reception in her honor at our Grange (Fri. Nov. 22nd) with dignitaries invited from all over the State. We were represented at National by Jody and Jodi Ann Cameron also. They went to assist the National Grange Program Director, Chris Hamp, with events. Ekonk was named a Distinguished Grange again this year at National.
Junior Granger, Russell Sharpe, was elected Treasurer of the Student Council at Sterling Community School while Brianna Gervais was elected representative from her 6th Grade class to that Board!
We now have a handicapped toilet in the Men’s bathroom in addition to the ladies.
We voted a $50.00 gift certificate to Lillian Sharpe for her favorite fabric store (Joanne’s Fabrics) in commemoration of her completing her first year of Chemo!
Dec. 14th we are having a baked ham supper at our hall benefiting BSA Troop # 36 (Junior Russell Sharpe and Subordinate member Connor Sebastian both are active in this troop).
Now that our suppers for 2019 are over, I would be remiss if I did not express our sincere appreciation to Verna Cole and crew for another extraordinary year!
We welcomed Jason Hnath into membership in November; we now have three generations of the Hnath family on our rolls! Visit us any 1st Monday at 7:30 or the Juniors the first Fridays at 6:30.
