| August 15, 2018 -- At our July meeting we welcomed several guests: Grange member Karen Wax, George Rood and Scott Duffany from Florida, Ted Beebe, Norwich Grange and Lois Evankow, Lyme Grange.
A special thank you to George Rood for his piano playing, helping our singing voices to sound almost good.
Memorial services were held for those Grange members we have lost in the past year; Marion Culhane, Phyllis McCall, Walter Pieniadz, and Sela Palmer. All were dedicated members and contributed greatly to our Grange, we will miss them all.
We continue with our community service activities with Apple Rehab and Harrington Court. We are also contributing plastic containers to Willimantic Soup Kitchen and providing can flip tops to Boy Scouts to be given to Shriners Hospitals.
We have donated several items to this year’s Big E, including 4 wreaths, 19 hats, and one apron.
Our annual cook out was planned at Polly Leonards Farm in August, thanks to Polly for offering us a great place to get together.
Let’s get out there and enjoy the beautiful summer weather and continue representing our Granges in our communities.
