| February 7, 2017 -- Taghhannuck Grange #100 has given out 72 of “The Best Dictionary for Students” to the third grade students in Sharon, Kent, Cornwall and Warren.
This is the 14th year we have done this as a community service. The best thing is to see how excited the students are when they know they get to keep the dictionaries.
All our members now receive the Connecticut Granger as we voted to do this at our December meeting. We hoped to reach more of our members and have heard from some that no longer attend meetings. We now have reached one of our goals in underwriting this program.
Taghhannuck Grange has only one meeting in February on the 9th at 8 P.M. with a snow date of Feb. 23rd. The Graces have the program and it’s always very inventive. |
