On July 14 we held our annual picnic. For the first time in recent memory we had to have our picnic indoors because of an impending thunderstorm. It rained and a few booms of thunder were heard for about a half an hour before it cleared out. There was plenty of food to go around, plus desserts! It was good to see a few of our members that we don’t see too often. Afterwards we had a business meeting. We had election of officers and we had one additional office filled by Marcia Cutrole who will be taking over the Chaplain’s position this coming year. We also went over next year’s program calendar that soon should be out in the Pomona handbook.

Don’t forget that our fair is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 17th from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. We are at 586 Center Street in Wallingford. There will be a Chicken Barbecue from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. with continuous seating. Contact Janet Haller for a fair book and for entry forms.
