| FEBRUARY 12, 2015 -- Our Grange held a shorter than usual meeting this month due to inclement weather. We welcomed our frequent guest, Lois Evankow, Flora of East Central, and Lecturer for Lyme Grange. Thanks to Lois for always providing informative and fun lecturers programs for us. They are very much appreciated.
We did receive a thank you from the Veterans program that we, along with Colchester Ladies Auxiliary # 6993, and members of our community sponsored for Christmas gifts. We were happy to hear the Veterans received the items from their wish lists and were so appreciative for all their gifts. This is a very rewarding project for our Grange and we all enjoy contributing.
We also received a thank you from the Colchester Land Trust for our recent donation to their organization.
Our volunteer efforts continue with our cooking activity at Harrington Court and Bingo at Apple Rehabilitation Center. These activities are very much enjoyed by the residents of both facilities. We also continue to contribute to the Willimantic and St Andrew’s food Banks.
All you travelers out there don’t forget to contact Cathy Russi our CWA representative for two great trips being offered for the 2015-16 year. For music lovers there will be a trip to American Music Cities to include Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans October 16-23rd of this year. The second is a trip to the Panama Canal for March 2016.
