| OCTOBER 1, 2014 -- As I am typing this it is Labor Day Weekend. Where has our summer gone? I noticed school buses on the road yesterday. So fall is here.
Our Fall activities have begun. Oct. 4 the Semi-Annual Food and Tag Sale is scheduled and will require everyone’s support. Phone calls will be made to remind our members about it. We certainly need everyone’s support. Please mark the event on your calendar.
Then on Oct. 11 our Card Parties begin for the season. This is another fundraiser that we need all the support that you can give. Attend the party and bring a neighbor with you. It is really a fun evening.
Membership is a committee that requires all the Grange members to assist with. The State Master has asked all the Granges to work towards a net gain in membership. His own Grange has grown to 140 members. We are down to 50. This trend needs to be turned around. We all must have a neighbor that would enjoy the Grange. Should you need an application, just call me and I will gladly mail one or two or three to you. My number is 860-315-5336.
