The community is invited to attend an Open House sponsored by Cawasa Grange on Thursday, April 28, 2011.  The event will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Boulder Ridge Club House located on Boulder Ridge Road in Canton.

One of the highlights of the Open House will be a discussion lead by Cawasa Grange Program Director Linea Erickson, who will be speaking about the Grange, its benefits, and its impact on the local community.

Cawasa Grange has been serving the Canton/Collinsville area for over 125 years.  Cawasa Grange was organized in 1885, and at one time, was one of the largest Granges in Connecticut.  What began as an organization focusing on local agricultural issues, Cawasa Grange has evolved to include a powerful voice supporting the quality of life not only in the Farmington Valley, but statewide. Today, Cawasa Grange has developed a rich tradition and heritage, as evidenced in many of the service projects and family-oriented activities it sponsors in the community.
