Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 7:00 pm. until approximately 8:30 pm. the Hillstown Grange Garden Talk goes virtual once again with the aid of Zoom Meeting. To attend you will have to have downloaded the Zoom app. It is free. You are officially invited to attend as it is open to the public to discuss several gardening topics; Calcium and Magnesium are next up in the ongoing series on Essential Elements. Saving Seed and The Difference Between Heirloom/Open Pollinated vs Hybrid varieties, Reading a Seed Packet, Soil Testing, Soil Temperature, Growing Degree Days and Controlling Damping Off Disease. For the next 6 Garden Talks there will be an emphasis on helping beginning and intermediate gardeners with information which hopefully will aid in achieving a bountiful harvest this year. So you may bring your questions, keeping in mind we basically discuss vegetable and herb gardening but are known to tuck in flowers and other plants that aid beneficial insects in the garden and around the homestead.
