Community Education Event: Dutchoven Demo

Join us for this community education event and fun-filled day learning about the art & history of Dutch Oven Cooking. Guest presenters Mike Kennedy and Jeanne Lewis will be bringing their traveling Dutch Oven Wagon to the Wallingford Grange to talk about Dutch oven cooking and demonstrate the essential equipment used. This event is open to the public and might include some Dutch oven cooked samples!

The Quilts of Valor Program offers comforting quilts to veterans of all wars. Join us on this date for the first class to make quilts. Future classes will be held monthly on the first and third Monday of every month until Veteran's Day. Participants will be able to learn this skill to help towards a finished quilt that will be done by the Grange Fair. A ceremony will then be held on Veteran’s Day to present to a Veteran. Tie-dye remains a popular activity whenever it is offered, and it's a category you can enter into this year's Grange Fair! Bring a white 100% cotton pre-washed t-shirt and learn several ways to tie to get certain designs, and supplies other than your shirt are provided. $5 registration.
